  Q. Will this cover childern weighing only 18-20lbs?
 
  A. Thanks for your enquiry. The buoyancy is adjustable, so can be adapted to whatever weight the child is. Remember one is looking for the minimum amount of flotation to keep the baby afloat (one doesn't automatically use all the floats, just because they are there).

The child needs to be walking/toddling & the important thing is the fit: don't buy a size to grow into, it needs to fit now, so that there is stretch in the garment (before the floats are inserted). We would recommend that your child would require a 1 to 2 years size.

  Q. My daughter is 18 months old and weighs 10.5 kg (24 lbs). I am wondering whether I should buy a 1-2 or a 2-4 year old floatsuit?
 
  A. Thanks for your enquiry. We are strongly advised by the manufacturer that you should always but these products by age not on the size of the child. Therefore, we would recommend the 1-2 years old size.
